Is moode audio supported on pipewire? - alexbramford - 08-24-2021

Use case:
  • I'm looking to upgrade from Fedora 32 to Fedora 34

  • And pipewire is the replacement for pulseudio on Fedora 34
Setup:
  • F32(Rhythmbox) --> pulseaudio (module-raop-sink) --> LAN--> RaspberryPi (moodeAudio + Shairport Sync)
Question:
  • Is moode audio (and by extension, Shairport Sync) supported by pipewire?
Specifically:
  1. pulseaudio module-raop-sink on my Fedora 32 laptop
  2. moode audio running on the RaspberryPi
  3. shairport-sync running on the RaspberryPi
Or is there a pipewire module that will do the same as pulseaudio (module-raop-sink?)

In your setup moOde is just functioning as an Airplay receiver. I think your question is whether "pulseaudio (module-raop-sink" has an equivalent in the Pipewire framework.

Maybe try asking in the Fedora or Pipewire forums ?
