External USB drive not detected under mOode 7.4.1 - tactic1960 - 10-25-2021
Hello to all,
I have the same problem as Smallwire,
basically my Boss2 with moode 7.4.1 does not see an externally powered 500 GB USB hard drive.
I have another rpi that sees the hard disk without problems and if I put the microsd card in the Boss2 the hard disk is seen without problems.
Can anyone help me ?

Open System Config and switch to Devmon auto mounter, reboot and see if USB disk is auto mounted to /media.

I changed the configuration as you asked me but nothing has changed.
If it can be of help I am sending you an image of how the boss2 raspberry sees the disk with another microsdd with raspbian installed.
In this image the hard drive is seen under /media/pi

I'm having a similar issue....
I'm running a fresh install of MoOde on a rPi4 via the provided img file. I can successfully play the included SOMA FM Streaming Sources.
I plugged in a USB Thumb Drive with 156GB of music that I was using with a Mopidy setup before. It is formatted EXT4 and after Updating the Library, it looks like it detected the Music and parsed it:

But when I go back to the main page, even after a Restart of the System, none of the local music files are showing. I'm still only seeing the included Streaming Sources and the one Audio Test file on the SDCard.
What am I missing. Is there something else that needs to be done to populate USB music files onto the main screen? I also don't see any other way to "Browse" the Music Library. Since I have all my music on this Thumb Drive, I prefer not to use NFS/SMB. I didn't see anything else on the Setup Guide of in the Forums that seems to be relevant to my issues.
Looking in the Web-based SSH terminal, when I run 'mount' I see the USB Drive did auto-mount with the following parameters:

(Note, after having no success, I tried chown-ing the T and J's Radio folder from the default of shellinabox:audio to pi:audio since it seems the services are running as either the 'pi' user or the 'mpd' user. Also, both 'pi' and 'mpd' users are in the 'audio' group.
Oddly, I installed and MPD Client on my Android phone (MPD Remote) and pointed it to my MoOde install and it sees the entire Music library just fine. I'm just not seeing it on the main MoOde page.
I will toggle back to 32-bit to see if that helps, but that's where I had started and wasn't having any success under that kernel/version either.

Clear the cache and reload the thumbnails..

Unfortunately, no luck there. I tried clearing all data for the MoOde site (my server) and refreshing but still the same outcome. The MoOde main page does update to show what I'm playing via the MPD App on Android, so that is synced up, but MoOde still does not show the Library of MP3s that I can see when I connect the MPD Remote app on Android.

Look at MPD log and Moode log. MPD log records each song successfully indexed. Moode log shows start and end of MPD indexing and thumbnail generator.

The log entry below indicates MPD crashed during indexing. This would suggest some sort of resource issue, use of 64-bit kernel, or possibly a corrupt song file or directory that caused the crash.
