Using new dac, Info still shows old dac. - Lizard_King - 12-01-2021
Using Moode 7.6 and an RPI3b+. I went from Allo Katana stacks, failed twice to the Allo Revolution DAC. Now i am using the RME ADI-2 DAC FS over USB with a Jitterbug FMJ before the cable on this awesome DAC. in M>Configure> Audio> MOD settings, shows the ADI-2 dac. In Audio Info under Audio Device, it is show showing the Allo Revolution Dac and the ESS Sabre ES9038Q2M Dac. I see this in my Ipad in safari and Firefox on my Win 10 PC, so it is not a cache issue. Any ideas?

Is this a newly purchased RME ADI-2 DAC FS ?
As the AKM fire has meant that RME have had to use other chips and have moved to ESS9038 for some of their dacs.
This would explain the Audio Info under Audio Device.
Presumably it is playing fine and your query is regarding the reporting ?

So a pre-fire ADI-2 DAC FS ? (personal preference here...I find the AKM chip in the AIO I own to be the best I've heard...and I do have ESS 9038Q2M to compare)
