Hello from Scotland - Bartman66 - 08-17-2022 Hello, I’m new to Moode a couple of months ago and managed to get 2 x Boss Players on an auction site. I’ve been an HQ music fan since i bough my first squeeze boxes in2004. Ive developed Tinitus and so far ive been able to use the EQ function in Moode to be able to enjoy music again. Love this system. Dave RE: Hello from Scotland - TheOldPresbyope - 08-17-2022 Welcome, Dave. I'm really sorry about your tinnitus. As with many old* folks my hearing has deteriorated to the point I'm insensate to real tones above about 10 kHz so the high-pitched "unreal" tone (what some call "ringing") characteristic of my tinnitus is readily apparent. Fortunately it's masked by any music I listen to and my hearing of tones in the range ca 30 Hz - 10 kHz is quite good---no need for EQ other than to compensate for my headphones' response function. Sadly, my partner's tinnitus is bad enough that it interferes even with her listening to conversations unless folks are standing close to her and speaking clearly. I've finally convinced her we should explore the wonderful world of hearing aids. Regards, Kent *There's the saying "we grow too soon old and too late smart". If only I'd taken better care of my ears in my teens and 20s. Sigh. RE: Hello from Scotland - LeighP - 08-18-2022 Welcome Dave - good to see another moodeaudio user - I too have tinnitus but not to the extent it disturbs my listening - a 11.735kHz whistle and a very low frequency rumble from time to time. Kent - my father is currently getting some - and he's quite impressed he can bluetooth them to his iPad for music/podcasts instead of having to listen to my mother! Leigh..... |
