No sound from Mcfifo - coinmaster - 09-26-2018
I just ordered a RPI and installed moode for my RPI>IsolatorPI>Ian's MCFifo>MCDualXO>Buffalo 3 SE but there is no data being received by the dac when music is played.
I've tried using the buffalo and fifo II firmware in the moode player with no results.
Does the moode not work with the Mcfifo?

Have you verified I2S signal is being output by Raspberry Pi?
Feel free to post the output from System info and I'll have a look to see if there is anything suspicious.

There was a data signal being presented when using the fifo as the master clock.
I tried using the PI as master and bypassed the FIFO connecting the PI/IsolatorPI directly to the Buffalo dac but there is no clock signal at all on MCLK when I configure the IsolatorPI for Either master or slave mode.

I don't see anything odd in the moOde log, but I don't know how the device chain is supposed to be configured as far as master/slave, jumpers, cable assy etc.
I'd suggest contacting Ian (@iancanada) via mail or in one of his diyAudio threads and ask him (1) what Raspberry Pi I2S driver to use and (2) whats the correct or optimum config/jumper settings for the device chain

Ian told me to see if there is any signal on the I2S pins on the PI and there wasn't.
I used pin 18/19/21
He says to "fix the problem of your RPi or software first" but the Pi is brand new and you said the software is working?
