Can anyone tell me why ALSA shows two volume bars for my SMSL DAC? The one on the left permits separate adjustment of L and R. Should I lower the level on the bar on the right to keep it out of the red?

It's prolly an analog volume on the DAC chip/board. These exist on many DAC's and generally should be left at 0dB unless the manufacturer documentation says its adjustable and why.
