Update Release: 7.4.0 to latest - traillight - 04-30-2023
Hi,
i have an old RPI with a moode installation wich only runs in summertime.
today i startet it for the first time this summer an i think about update it to latest version, ich tried the webpage unter configure/check for update, i did this 3 times but no it says may system is up toi date.
When i check the info it says i have Release: 7.4.0 2021-09-24 running
The forum says 8.3.2 i latest?
How can i update to this version without loosing all settings in moode?
Pleas help me out, thx.

There is no in-place update from 7.x.x to 8.x.x.
To update from 7.x.x to the latest version 8.x.x requires a complete new installation of the image from the website.
Later version of Moode do have a “backup/restore settings” facility, but I’m not sure how far back it goes - Tim or Kent should be able to help you out.
