No covers - drrak - 06-12-2023 Translator: Hi, how to enable album covers? I have default graphics everywhere. moOde 8.3.2 (32 bit), RPi3 RE: No covers - Nutul - 06-12-2023 (06-12-2023, 09:53 AM)drrak Wrote: Translator: Hi, there may be several reasons why you don't get album-art; anyway: 1. what files is your library consisting of? (maybe some files are not considered, such as DFF / DSF, as their V2 tag is not stored at the beginning of the file, as the Zend library moOde uses expects it to be) 2. do the files have an embedded album-art? Or is there an image file in the folder containing them? 3. as lately discovered, moOde prevented the album art from being detected if its MIME type was uppercase; this is fixed in the 8.3.3. release. Please note that, even if you upgrade to the newest version, you'll need to regenerate the thumbnail cache, as to overwrite the existing ("default" picture) ones with the proper images. RE: No covers - drrak - 06-12-2023 I use regular MP3 and FLAC files. I have them all described in metadata. Artist name, album, track name, track number and year, but no artwork. Regenerate the thumbnail cache does nothing. RE: No covers - Tim Curtis - 06-12-2023 Cover art can be embedded in the song files or a cover art image file can be placed in the album directory. Cover image files should be named cover.jpg or folder.jpg. File type .png is also supported. ETA: moOde does not support online lookup of cover art. I don't understand. Covers are not downloaded automatically? Because the covers are not embedded in the song files. On Volumio, all the covers somehow downloaded and were visible. Yes, as Tim said, moOde does not do any online lookup for the cover-art. The images must be either embedded in the audio tag, or present in the folder as "cover" or "folder", with "jpg" or "png" type / extension. RE: No covers - drrak - 06-12-2023 Okay, now I get it. All in all, it's not a big problem. Thanks. |
