Accesing Mode UI on the TV connected via HDMI - rajivkumar1984 - 08-01-2023 Hi, I have installed Moode Audio on a Rpi4 and connected my HDMI television to the Rpi4 via HDMI. Though I am able to access the same UI at the same time on my PC using moode.local But I would like to know --- 1. Is there a way I can access or surf the menus at the same while I am doing it on my PC or ipad using Moode.local ? 2. Or if there is a way to activate a remote to surf the menus of Moode Audio on the TV connected via HDMI ? Looking forward to some help on this RE: Accesing Mode UI on the TV connected via HDMI - Nutul - 08-01-2023 (08-01-2023, 02:37 PM)rajivkumar1984 Wrote: Hi, Plugging a mouse to your Pi will let you use the UI on the TV, The OSK should work too. As for integration with a remote... I heard something, you may want to search the forum. It could be nice if we could actually use a remote to navigate the components in the UI with its directional arrows and enter button, something like KODI does... but I believe this requires some implementation... RE: Accesing Mode UI on the TV connected via HDMI - TheOldPresbyope - 08-01-2023 If you look in the FAQ and Guides section of this forum you'll find threads started by me and by others concerning the use of various A/V remotes with moOde. They work well for the basic playback and library functions. I have to say, though, that I find picking out characters on the on-screen keyboard (OSK) using a typical A/V remote is tedious business. For any significant data entry I much prefer using a small Bluetooth keyboard with built-in mouse that I bought years ago to drive my MythTV (an open-source DVR project). Regards, Kent RE: Accesing Mode UI on the TV connected via HDMI - rajivkumar1984 - 08-04-2023 Is there a way to browse the UI of moode audio on my HDMI 4K tv by using the app installed on my ipad or browsing through moode.local. Is thre any change which I need to do on the app by going to moode.local so that when I am browsing through the UI on my ipad, I can visualize the same on my 4K TC connected to my RPI4 via HDMI ? Pls advise if there is any other alternative to have a smooth way of browing the UI in the TV RE: Accesing Mode UI on the TV connected via HDMI - the_bertrum - 08-04-2023 I think what you asking for is to be able to use the interface on your ipad to control moode, but see the UI on your TV screen as well? If so, enable the local display in the settings (M/configure/system/local display) and attach your RPi to the TV via the HDMI port. That will show the UI on your TV, and you can still go to moode.local on your ipad to control things. Not exactly sir but allow me to give you an example - Suppose on my ipad I go to moode.local and click on a album to display the tracks...at the same time while my RPI4 is connectec to the TV via HDMI should also show me the tracks on the TV screen. Is that possible ? Because today though my Rpi4 is connected to my HDMI TV, I am not able to brownse the Moode UI on the television RE: Accesing Mode UI on the TV connected via HDMI - Tim Curtis - 08-04-2023 Not possible because the local display feature does not perform mirroring but rather it runs the WebUI in chromium-browser directly on the Pi. It's a separate client just as if you opened moode.local on your phone. RE: Accesing Mode UI on the TV connected via HDMI - the_bertrum - 08-04-2023 Right, yes aif you enable the local display function then your tv will show the UI exactly as you see it on your ipad. But changes to the UI on the iPad for example changing Library views, displaying track lists etc will not show up on the TV because it's a separate client. It's acting same as if you open WebUI first on an iPad and then on an iPhone. The iPhone client when it initially opens the WebUI only picks up the initial view thats displayed on the iPad. Each client can then control moOde independently. Each client will also show same play state, metadata, renderer connect, etc. RE: Accesing Mode UI on the TV connected via HDMI - the_bertrum - 08-04-2023 (08-04-2023, 05:47 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote:(08-04-2023, 05:18 PM)the_bertrum Wrote: Right, yes aif you enable the local display function then your tv will show the UI exactly as you see it on your ipad. Ah, of course. Sorry, I've only ever used more than one interface at once in the "moving from one to the other" scenario rather than the "both at the same time" way needed here. I stand corrected, thanks Tim. |
