Ideal Pi RAM config - raymate - 10-01-2023
What is the best RAM for a Pi4, 1GB,2GB or 4GB.
Its doesn't look like it uses much any reason to go bigger ?
Along the same line Pi3 or Pi4 ?
Is the Pi5 being supported yet, just pre ordered one.

Is the Pi5 being supported yet, just pre ordered one.
My Pi Zero W has 0.5GB ram and works fine (htop informs me it's only using about 80 megs of it). My Pi 4 has 2GB and doesn't use most of it.
The Pi 5 isn't supported at the mo but looking around at various other Pi projects suggests it's not much work to get stuff working on it.

Thank you that good to know so really I can get away with a 1GB unit.
