Multiple DACs - jbaumann - 03-23-2024

I have a system where I use the output of the DAC to drive a subwoofer and the main loudspeakers. To allow for a clean separation of these I would like to be able to have a cross-over e.g. at 150Hz between them.

To do that, two DACs could be used, and CamillaDSP could do the crossover.

But as far as I understand it, Moode currently doesn‘t support multiple DACs. I‘m not sure how complex it is to add a second DAC or more generally, an arbitrary number of DACs, but I would love it.

Cheers, Joachim

You can accomplish this with some custom alsa configuration, but the issue is that the dac's wil not run in sync. Alternative is to use a multi channel dac like motu, focusrite etc.
