MoOde 8.3.9 Not Working on Pi4B - thomaschan - 04-10-2024 My SD card with previous MoOde version died on me. I got a new 16G card and use the Raspberry Pi Imager to write the new MoOde 8.3.9 on it. It had already successfully been verified by the Pi Imager. Using the new SD card, the Pi4B powered up OK. I connected the my notebook computer to the PI with a network cable. moode.local got me to the MoOde main screen. The first time I clicked on the Configure icon, I could set the time zone and select I2S output. Then I tried to set Peripheral and the whole thing went strange. On my notebook, it read "waiting for moode.local....". I had powered it down and powered up again several times and it's the same. Now under Configuration Settings, I click on Audio, no response from MoOde and my browser still reads "waiting for moode.local....". It seems like MoOde is processing something unfinished. Any idea? Help Please!! RE: MoOde 8.3.9 Not Working on Pi4B - the_bertrum - 04-10-2024 Did you set a user and password and so on in the pi imager before you wrote the image? No, I did not set user and password. I used the Pi imager and it didn't ask for one. So is this the problem? However, I did set a Host/Player Name the first time. No password. After things went strange, I use the Pi Imager to write the MoOde 8.3.9 onto the SD card again (overwrite the first 8.3.9). RE: MoOde 8.3.9 Not Working on Pi4B - the_bertrum - 04-11-2024 Read the setup guide carefully once more. There are steps to add a user and password that are needed now. The Pi Imager will allow you to write an image without setting them, but there are options to do so which you need to take now. RE: MoOde 8.3.9 Not Working on Pi4B - DRONE7 - 04-11-2024 Open the RPi imager and look for Media Players>MoOde>your architecture (32 or 64 bit according to your Pi) and select. When asked if you want to configure select EDIT (not 'Yes' as this just sets any previous edits and if you haven't used it before then it fails to use your config) and then fill the WiFi, SSID, wifi Password, User, & User-Password then toggle through the tabs and tick ssh. Then back at the configure screen select Yes to use the edits you have just made. Complete the install to your microSD card, insert to your Pi and boot. Find the IP address of your Pi from another device on the network and connect via a Browser. Note the info re Library and player screens..click them so as you know how to :-) Read the Quick Help from the right top 'M' menu then configure as needed from the right hand top 'M' menu >configure. Many many thanks for your help. I finally got it to work! I have DIY the TDA1387 x 8 DAC connected to my Pi4 via the GPIO. Surprisingly good sound quality!
