No longer able to change I2S device or DT overlay - cpunter - 05-04-2024
After a recent swap of Digi output HAT, I managed to screw up something because now, I am no longer able to change any of the Audio Output settings. It's stuck at I2S audio device and the last incorrect combination of I2S device and DT overlay that was made before I presume a file got corrupted.
No matter which I2S device or DT overlay I select from the pull down lists, the SET buttons no longer become active.
I have successfully swapped Dig Out HATs and had no problems changing these settings for this Moode install many times over the past few weeks. It's just this last instance that the process seems to have corrupted something.
I installed Moode using RPI Imager direct onto a new SD Card.
Is there anything I can do outside of a complete reinstall?

Did you by any chance flash a brand new image?
If that's the case, read carefully the installation instructions, as there are some mandatory operations to be done. That is: it is not like it used to be with older installations...

Thanks for the suggestion, but I forgot to add that I have successfully swapped Dig Out HATs and had no problems changing these settings for this Moode install many times over the past few weeks. It's just this last instance that the process seems to have corrupted something.

mmmm..this happens more often IDKW where the O/P says thanks and adds other things they think might apply but fail to post the answers asked of them...."Did you by any chance flash a brand new image?" that's a simple yes/no
Details details details...
Ok reboot and post the results from the startup log..
either use the Web SSH terminal in the WebUI or ssh into the player from another host and execute the command moodeutl -l
Copy the entire output from this command into a code box in your reply

The way that question was asked allowed for two interpretations. So, my answer depends...
- No, I did not flash a brand new image right before encountering this issue just now.
- But, yes, this was a fresh install that I flashed on a new SD card, a few weeks ago, after which the mentioned procedure (that caused the issue today) worked flawlessly before many times.
I am new to RPI but believe I followed the installation instructions by the letter.
Please find the startup log below.

Thanks all for trying to help, but never mind, I reinstalled Moode and it is now working again.
