T71 showing -20 dB and sound is really low - skfalco - 05-08-2024 Hi everyone and thank you for reading my post. Currently I have Moodeaudio running on a raspberry pi 2 W, great device for portability, I connect a lot of DACs since i repair Audio equipment and I've never experienced any problems, but when I connect my Qudelix T71 via Micro usb to type C or even using an OTG adapter and a lot of different combinations, I always get a really low volume, compared to any other source (computer, android phone, laptop, etc) also T71 is showing that the source plays at -20dB and you can't get this to 0 dB (the usual source volume at max), I have tried setting the volume to 100, changing everything in the settings, Hardware, Software, Fixed (0dB), (null is not showing) and they all show -20dB as the source volume on the Qudelix T71, I also tried both output options on ALSA, and messing with MPD and nothings seems to work, I really want to build an streamer based on this devices, but this definitely makes it impossible to use a T71 with moode audio, and FYI, Volumio is doing the exact same thing, thanks for reading all the issue and here is a photo of the T71 connected to Moode audio in RPI Z2W, the right side volume is the source volume which I can't alter, thanks in advance ![]() RE: T71 showing -20 dB and sound is really low - Tim Curtis - 05-08-2024 The symptom suggests the device may not be compatible with Linux USB audio. There is a Linux kernel USB Audio quirks file that may have to be updated but this would involve the device manufacturer working with the Raspberry Pi Linux kernel devs. https://github.com/raspberrypi/linux/blob/rpi-6.6.y/sound/usb/quirks.c RE: T71 showing -20 dB and sound is really low - skfalco - 05-09-2024 (05-08-2024, 10:19 AM)Tim Curtis Wrote: The symptom suggests the device may not be compatible with Linux USB audio. Oh great guess, I was in contact with Qudelix, they are really helpful, so I will give it a shot, thank you very much |
