Album Library Dis-appears on Start-up - SerbJ - 05-13-2024 I have been running my Pi4B on Moode 8.3.7 since January. I had a few initial problems that the forum helped solve quickly. ![]() Even though the library hasn't changed, I rebuilt it along with thumbnails. I haven't tried it again to see if that helped. Any other thing or log I should check? Thx. RE: Album Library Dis-appears on Start-up - Tim Curtis - 05-13-2024 The symptom suggests Linux is not recognizing the USB storage device on initial power up. This could be due to a power supply issue, issue with the UDB drive, bad physical connection, etc. Try swapping in a new power supply and also cleaning the USB connections with contact cleaner. Also, a powered USB hub can help if the issue is power-related. RE: Album Library Dis-appears on Start-up - SerbJ - 05-14-2024 Thx for the replys. I now have powered it up three times since regenerating the music DB and has come up correctly. ![]() I assume the cache file is kept on the micro SD chip with the OS/Moode? I had changed out the power supply, prior to the last "problem" power-up, just to test it. ie make sure the new PS worked. This is just a Pi4B with USB memory stick and USB data converter. The data converter has its own power supply, but also ran fine powered from the Pi. It is in a passive cooling case (no fan). The power suppy should be "loafing". If it starts acting up again, will try cleaning the contacts. It is a smoke free home, only 4 months since new, and never had any USB contact problems with laptops or PC's running in the house for years. This FLAC server is destined to go to camp, and will be putting together my 2nd one for home. I have been testing out some new speakers I built, so its been getting more use lately.
