Speed up Local GUI - STUDI - 06-06-2024

I observed a slight improvement in the speed of the local GUI after adding the following flags for the Chhrome Browser startup:

--enable-gpu-rasterization
--ignore-gpu-blocklist
--disable-smooth-scrolling

An additional noticeable benefit is a significant reduction in CPU load (88 -> 95). The trade-off is a decrease in the amount of free memory (480MB -> 260M). Tested on Raspberry Pi 4 B, 2GB RAM, Moodeaudio 9.0.1, audio: USB DAC Topping D10.

Does anyone have suggestions on how to further speed up the Chromium Browser?

Which model pi are you running?

4B with 2GB RAM. Unfortunately, the Raspberry Pi 5 version is ruled out due to the case design (M2.SATA interface, all ports on one rear panel, which is a desirable but practically absent feature in cases   -> Geekworm NASPi V2.0 2.5" SATA HDD/SSD Kit with Auto Power On Function).
