MPD For Synology - quimbo - 07-04-2024
I have a very large music folder, about 17 TB, and MPD takes a long time to update and many times when clicking in the front end, configure, etc; my device redlights for about 15 minutes and then works
Has anyone been able to install MPD on a Synology NAS and point to it?
There is this community package - https://synocommunity.com/package/mpd

I plan to muddle my way through this later tonight / this weekend but am wondering if anyone here has successfully done this

Even if you use MPD proxy database the WebUI will still have a lot of issues with such a huge collection.
If you don't need all those tracks online then maybe consider copying just your favorite tracks to a separate disk and use that as your online collection. Over time you can always go back to the archive disk to copy over some more favs.
