Moode does not respond any command; - starbender - 09-08-2024

Hello,

I was using Moode 8x version for a while. I wanted to upgrade to 9. After writing image with pi imager Moode boots up fine, It asks for hotspot password to be set and I put a password and clicked save. it stalls and does not respond afterwards.

I simply rewrited sd card again but for now I just defined static ip for my wired network ( I always do that ). and it stalls again. when I click sound config it opens blank page. When I click system it stalls and waits forever..

Rewrited sd for a third time. Still has same issues.

What's going on here? what am I missing?

I'm using custom pi os files for a decade. I never have that kind of strange behaviour.

Did you follow all the required steps in the Setup Guide to prep the image using the Pi Imager?

I tried to repro a couple of your issues and it works fine on my end.

I didn't defined wifi at OS customization. Filled other options. I'm using wired network.
Also tried online download within pi imager. Whenever I define static ip settings it never applies and stalls. Sound config opens blank page.
Tried different sd card too. Tonight I'll try older version.

After it boots post the startup log.

The log can be viewed via the SSH command moodeutl -l or downloaded via the Logs section in System Config, or via Menu, System info from any of the Config screens. The startup log will be at the end of System info output.

Hi Tim,

Last night I rewrited a new sd card. I was using picore for three days since my failure to upgrade moode successfully.

I don't know why really. But this time I had no problem at all.

Only difference is i put wifi credentials to custom os settings this time.

Both wifi and wired network was online. I simply disable wifi and reconfigured wired network with static ip. All went well.

Hi

I am having the same issue since I installed 9.0.8 (and 9.0.10) using dd on a new raspberry 5 (was using an old 1b on 8.X).

Reimaged at least 10 times, whatever I do, then moode goes busy and I have to do it again from scratch.

Sound configuration page is blank, and changing settings never applies (except colors).

Never had this before on my old setup.

Any idea?

Please read the setup guide.
dd will not give a working install. You need to use the RPi imager.

Thanks for the answer. I was hoping it will solve it, but actually nothing changed. I used the imager, and I am getting the same problems (blank sound page and nothing applies when settings are changed). Futhermore, I changed timezone using the imager, and it did not update it. Using version 9.0.10.

Help!!
