snd-config.php error - LeighP - 09-14-2024 (09-14-2024, 07:04 PM)LeighP Wrote: Just installed moode on a new Pi4 8Gb and getting this on the Audio configuration page - not sure it's just my Pi4 as I tried to use on a Pi3 earlier today and had the same response from the 9.0.8 release: RE: snd-config.php error - Tim Curtis - 09-14-2024 How did u create the image? RE: snd-config.php error - LeighP - 09-14-2024 (09-14-2024, 07:24 PM)Tim Curtis Wrote: How did u create the image? Two different ways - both on Win 10 using Rufus and Linux Mint with USB Writer. Both booted. I've rolled back and written the older version from the Raspberry Pi imager to ensure I'm getting a good copy of the OS to a MicroSD and that seems fine and I can access the Audio setup page. Why don't you try following the moOde setup guide? What you're doing hasn't worked with Raspberry Pi OS and, hence, moOde for over a year Regards, Kent RE: snd-config.php error - LeighP - 09-14-2024 Moode RE: snd-config.php error - LeighP - 09-14-2024 Tell you what......deleted my moaning. RE: snd-config.php error - Tim Curtis - 09-14-2024 It's your choice of course but Kent's post certainly didn't seem patronizing to me. I often make similar posts which simply point out that we have been aligned with the Raspberry Pi org for over a year now regarding using the Pi Imager to prep the image. Apologies for my reply - long day and short fuse. Will be trying again today and fingers crossed it works. Moode is a great system compared to others and I recommend it to others so won't be turning my back on it either. Leigh..... RE: snd-config.php error - Snoil - 09-15-2024 maybe the short text above the download buttons ("Read the Setup guide for information on how to use the Raspberry Pi Imager to prepare...") could additionally "warn" that there were changes to the process in the past. RE: snd-config.php error - Tim Curtis - 09-15-2024 lol, its human nature to not read the manual ;-) There are currently three ways to get the image. 1. The Download page at moodeaudio.org where there is a giant block of text at the top of the page that reads as follows: Read the Setup guide for information on how to use the Raspberry Pi Imager to prepare the ISO image with SSH, a login userid/password and optional WiFi SSID/password before writing the image to the boot media. There is also another link to the Setup Guide on that page. 2. The Media Player OS section of the Raspberry Pi Imager. There is no reference to the Setup Guide here but I did submit an issue a while back to the Imager repo to have this added to the schema. The last time I checked that issue there had been no action. https://github.com/raspberrypi/rpi-imager/issues/881 3. The moode Git repo releases section Each release contains a link to the Setup Guide but this is not meant to be a primary way of getting the image and so there is no language about the Pi Imager etc. I suppose I could change some of the language to "Raspberry Pi Imager (required)" which might be more of an attention getter.
