Android TV Browser problem - rockviktor - 09-18-2024 Hi there! I just got a new TV box that I'm trying to use to access moode. Mostly to show the album art on the TV. It's an SDMC Android Smart TV box. When I try different TV web browsers I can't access moode. I get the error message ERR_NAME_NOT_RESOLVED What could the reasons be for this? I use the URL http://moode and http://moode/#notarget that worked on my previous chromecast. Are there any reasons why devices or browsers wouldn't be able to access moode? Try using the nDNS address, in this case http'//moode.local Regards, Kent RE: Android TV Browser problem - rockviktor - 09-20-2024 (09-18-2024, 09:25 PM)TheOldPresbyope Wrote:(09-18-2024, 09:05 PM)rockviktor Wrote: Hi there! Solved it after 3 days of trying. I used http://ip_adress and it worked. For some reason I just had the wrong ip adress. Simple but frustrating. Hope you noticed the typo in my response. That apostrophe was supposed to be a colon. i just tried it here and apparently the LG webOS (claimed to be Linux-based) on our smart TV doesn’t support mDNS either. http://moOde.local gets a “This webpage is not available”. Since I’m not running an appropriate local DNS resolver on my LAN, I can’t use http://moode either. Same end result, “…not available”. However, using the IP address of the player works fine. The moOde WebUI is impressive on a 65-in OLED display but waving the LG controller around to point at and select choices is not my cup of tea. (Reminds me of playing TV games with my grandkids 15 years ago when Nintendo WII was popular.) Sorry I couldn’t help. Regards, Kent |
