RE: Can't connect to NAS - Tim Curtis - 11-18-2018 Post a screen shot of the NAS config screen RE: Can't connect to NAS - despearce - 11-20-2018 Is this what you need? I tried a scan with the default set as Samba and it found nothing RE: Can't connect to NAS - Tim Curtis - 11-20-2018 If the Samba scan did not find your NAS it would suggest either a network issue or that the NAS is not running Samba to share files. The screen shot shows NFS being used. Did you explicitly configure your NAS to use NFS? Are you able to connect to your NAS from PC or Mac? If yes then post the connect string or a screen shot of the connection dialog. RE: Can't connect to NAS - despearce - 11-21-2018 Is this what you need? The network address is 192.168.0.11 RE: Can't connect to NAS - Zigzag - 11-21-2018 I'm also unable to create a samba connection to my Synology NAS. In my case the NAS is only running the samba service (set to SMB2 and above) and for simplicity has a network called 'NAS'. I don't have any issues connecting to this with an other device and have followed the guidance Unkgd provides here: http://moodeaudio.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=83&highlight=Samba, but no joy with my install of Moode. Given I mainly use Windows 10 I tried the suggestion of removing the leading slashes and as my collection resides in a folder called 'music' I entered "NAS/music". This however triggers a mount error, the log for which is as below. (I 've noticed that this log mentions 'mount error 95' and 'refer to mount.cifs(8)' an issue which also featured on Volumio - see: https://github.com/volumio/Volumio2/issues/1524) 20181120 211231 worker: - Sorry I got pulled away by work - I should have done this ages ago. Is this the info you require? RE: Can't connect to NAS - Tim Curtis - 12-06-2018 The connect string would be how you would manually connect to the NAS from your PC. On Mac its done using Finder, Go, Connect to server. Then you type in server/share, maybe a userid and password or as in my case just select Guest and no password. On Windows you would use File Manager but I don't know what the menu picks are... |
