Stand Alone Player with Bluetooth - Fwammy - 11-07-2024

Not sure if this is a FQ, as I'm not finding it anywhere.

I want to use Moode as a standalone Player that :

1) I can connect to via wireless without a backing wifi network (some kind of hub or host mode - I know Pi supports this, but not sure how to set this up)
2) I want to connect a BT speaker and or Headphones to listen on as the audio output device, and then control the player via the web ui or some other mechanism or app

Is this possible to do? Are steps documented?

Thanks!

After you boot up open Network Config, then in the Hotspot section set the Hotspot password then in the Wireless section set the Network SSID to "Activate Hotspot"

After you reboot it may take several minutes for the Hotspot SSID to show up on your client (PC, smartphone, etc). Connect to this SSID and then open a Browser and enter http://moode.local or http://172.24.1.1 whichever one works.

Then open Renderer Config, turn on Bluetooth then open Bluetooth Control to connect to your device.

1. Remember: Always practice Volume Safety when using software players, especially with headphones.
2. In moOde 9 series releases the Hotspot function doesn't work on older pi3 models. It's an unresolved issue.
