Moode 9.14 convert 16bit to 32bit - Deenoo - 11-11-2024

Hi!
Moode decoded a FLAC 16 bit 44.1 kHz file (PCM 16 bit 44.1 kHz, Stereo, 557 kbps) to PCM 32 bit 44.1 kHz, Stereo, 2.822 Mbps. Connected via USB to SMSL D300 DAC. No conversion is set (to my knowledge). Is this normal? Can it be switched off? Can it be set to play the file according to the source? Thank you! D'

It looks like your device only accept 32 bit so moOde (well, ALSA actually) is zero padding up to 32 bit for you. It makes no difference at all to what you hear.

Correct. Most modern USB receivers for example XMOS only accept 32 bit word length.
