Moode for podcasts - Calaat - 11-28-2024
Hi:
Is there any way to use moode for podcast?
I can install a plugin to cast from, for instance, Pocket Casts?
I'm just wondering that this feature would be awesome

I use podget for this. Stores downloaded podcasts in a Podcasts folder on my NAS which I share to Moode.
Requires manual configuration but meets my needs.
Run via cron (which will need enabling) or systemd timer, and get Moode to auto-update the library every morning.

thk you!! I have look how to setup something like that and unfortunately it is beyond my knowledge, for now. I don't know how to setup cron, and Podget is not available in unRaid, which make me to build the docker and it way to much dificult for me.
But, thax you! Maybe i can found a work around using another tool, insted.

I use this since day 1 using Moode:
https://github.com/buzink/podcast2playlist
It downloads RSS feeds and copy them as playlists so that Moode can play your favorite podcast streaming them.
With a cron job you can than set a daily check for new entries in the feeds.
It Is simple but effettive.

Yeah, but this option is not allowed for me.
Spotify is like the devil and i don't want to use it, for anything.
