I'll try to make it short and sweet,

Interests:
  • Most things IT
  • Antique radio restoration (from the 20's to the 40's)
  • Antique radio restomods (same era as above)
  • Modifying current technology for other uses
  • Wireless technologies
  • Zune & ipod resuscitation / resurrection
  • Gaming, current and retro
  • Virtualization
  • Rpi and Arduino projects
Experience in Linux audio:
  • Limited

Its not a bad little device for what it was, it did get a bad rap though. I think Microsoft could have supported it better it could have eventually surpassed the iTouch. Key technologies they could have put in the HD variant would have been at least BT. And maybe not tried to lock it down like Apple did with iTunes and DRM.

Seriously, though, that’s quite a list. The way I solved my itch to restore old tech was to make sure none made it on the truck in my last move! There have been a couple of regrets, but I got over it.

Honestly, I enjoy restomods more, which works for me instead of being disappointed too much about not being able to bring something back to its former glory (some times Bones is right, its dead Jim). It opens up a new avenue of challenges and creativity, plus it gives me an excuse to use CAD and fire up my 3D printer. Wink

Thanks, it was either Vic20 or CP/M since I cant use a solidus in a username Vic20 it was.   /waiting for Trash80 to show up in the thread Big Grin
