Log Played Tracks - schliden - 02-26-2025

Hi,

Is there a way to enable logging of played music, either to a log file or a database.

Ideally it would be a single log line for each track played.

If not, can someone suggest where I could instigate such a log, from within moode (engine-mpd.php) ?

Thanks

Sean

There's an option to put the currently playing song into a file, but that doesn't log. There's also an option to clear the playback history log in the system config, but I can't for the life of me find where that log is.

For series 9 look in the Playback section of Menu > Preferences
Moode log files are in /var/log/

Ah Preferences!  I knew I'd seen it somewhere....

Thanks. Not sure if series 9 will give me the option to log played tracks ?

If not, any suggestions as to where I could implement logging.

I did notice the following: /var/local/www/playhistory.log but the file only contains:

Quote:20211217 113846 Log initialized

Can we enable playhistory logging  ?

Open menu/preferences, look for the playback log switch there and turn it on, then the playback log file will begin to fill.
