Hello to the world - mischa - 04-09-2025 Just a quick message to say hello to you all. I use MoodeAudio on a pi4 in a argon one case with a tiny screen attached (https://github.com/mischamol/MoodeAudio-1.83-LCD). This is connected to a modified Muse TDA1543x4 DAC and a modified MiniWattN3 valve amp. RE: Hello to the world - Tim Curtis - 04-09-2025 NOS and tubes, I like that :-) RE: Hello to the world - TheOldPresbyope - 04-09-2025 (04-09-2025, 11:59 AM)mischa Wrote: Just a quick message to say hello to you all. Reminds me of some moOde hacking I did with various small displays on hand a few years ago. I gave it up as my growing cataracts made it harder to focus on stuff at any scale. I'm supposed to go under the knife this summer. If the world looks as amazing afterwards as people tell me it will, I'll have to resurrect the project now that I see what you've done. Welcome to our merry band. Regards, Kent RE: Hello to the world - mischa - 04-09-2025 @Tim Curtis Me too! I really love the vintage sound of NOS <-> valve combo's. I am currently experimenting with Camilla DSP to increase the bass without loosing the typical valve sound. Looking for a best of both world solution. I must say, for now I am really impressed by the results so far. @TheOldPresbyope Thanx for the compliment. Too bad your medical problems forced you to give up. Hopefully the operation is successful. RE: Hello to the world - Tim Curtis - 04-09-2025 You should check out the ProtoDAC TDA1387 X8 project from Mark Winkler. It's a fantastic DIY NOS DAC :-) https://moodeaudio.org/forum/showthread.php?tid=5531&pid=46367#pid46367 |
