Firewall + spotify + update failure [solved but not all clear] - shiri1999 - 04-22-2025 Dear all, (1) Connect via spotify to librespot After the recent spotify completely drop out worldwide my clients were all thrown out. Using a snap client under linux to use moode's librespot as speaker was NOT possible afterwards ie. it did not show up as a valid speaker anymore. Same true for the official Android app. No change after upgrade to 9.3.2 (see spearate notes below). Doing quite some experiments it required me to put zerconf on a manual chosen port (used 9000 what was suggested) along with ufw. It could be mentioned it worked for 15 months after initial install without any error. ufw looks like now: Code: # ufw status and it works again. Before it looked the same without port 9000. We talk of LAN and the same subnet of spotify client and moode with librespot. Maybe this can be mentioned somewhere in the install guide(s). Tbh I have no idea what caused it, because this happened only after the spotify crash recently. On a different client (no fw enabled) it required at least to delete the credentials (one should note that spotify blocked my password and while trying to choose a new one it told me nevertheless that I cannot use the old one again, so it remembered it... it also removed family member accounts etc. so they really messed up). (2) Along with that while trying to upgrade moode via web GUI Did not work: Code: 20250421 035741 updater: Start 2025-04-16 update for moOde Obviously it failed - however, going back to ssh and terminal using Code: apt-get update that worked fine ie. no error whatsoever, but required quite some user interaction (to keep old and existent configs). If there are more logs on the system (where?) so you can see what went wrong via web UI compared to terminal I am happy to assist and send it. Please just tell what you need. Great software! best wishes! |
