Instruction Guide 9.0.6 on Pi 4B, 3B+, Zero 2W
#1
I am currently running 9.0.6 on Pi 4B with DIY TDA1387 x 8 DAC and am very satisfied with the performance. I am wondering how it compares to running on 3B+ and Zero 2W.

I run a two 4b, and a 3a. I also ran on a zero for many years before 32bit died Smile.
In general playback, I see no performance difference. Updating the software or rebuilding the library are slower on the lower powered devices, but the difference between a 4 on ethernet and a 4 on wifi is bigger than the difference between a 4 and a 3 for example.

In short, performance is fine Smile

Thanks. I'll probably try the Zero 2W first.

I use the Z2W with Camilla DSP and a library of 1000+ CDs, without any issues.
Another option would be the 3A+, that is also a low power device but has better performance *and* it fits full size HATs.
