Problem: "RaspberryPi Imager" program for windows
#1
Hi, for a few months on the laptop where I have the SD card reader I can no longer mount the "RaspberryPi Imager" for windows, when I try to do so I get this error from the updated Windows 10 pro, even though the laptop has two graphics cards, the one integrated with Open GL 4 and an Nvidia Quadro with OpanGL 4.2:
---------------------------
Imagers
---------------------------
Failed to create OpenGL context for format QSurfaceFormat(version 2.0, options QFlags<QSurfaceFormat::FormatOption>(), depthBufferSize 24, redBufferSize -1, greenBufferSize -1, blueBufferSize -1, alphaBufferSize -1, stencilBufferSize 8, samples -1, swapBehavior QSurfaceFormat::DoubleBuffer, swapInterval 1, colorSpace QSurfaceFormat::DefaultColorSpace, profile QSurfaceFormat::NoProfile) .
This is most likely caused by not having the necessary graphics drivers installed.

Install a driver providing OpenGL 2.0 or higher, or, if this is not possible, make sure the ANGLE Open GL ES 2.0 emulation libraries (libEGL.dll, libGLESv2.dll and d3dcompiler_*.dll) are available in the application executable's directory or in a location listed in PATH.
---------------------------
OK
---------------------------
Until a few months ago I had no problems, could it be some OS update that is causing problems?
All help is welcome.

As it happens, the Raspberry Pi Imager v1.8.5 installs and runs on both my Windows 10Pro virtual host and my Windows 11Pro virtual host. Don't know why you're having difficulties with it on your system but I think your question is better suited for the Raspberry Pi Forum or some Windows-oriented forum.

Hi Kent, thanks for the reply, but I thought others had this problem. Yes I will turn to the RaspberryPi community.
Thank you
