Hi

I'm new to digital audio and decided to build a Raspberry Pi streamer using Moode Audio to connect up with my turntable/cd player based hi-fi system

I got the streamer running today using a Raspberry Pi 4 and, for starters, the 3.5mm jack to rca input on my pre-amp :-)

I ran into two sticky moments;

First, following the Setup Guide and using the Raspberry Pi Imager at the OS customisation step I saw it had picked up my wireless router settings (ssid and pwd) and quickly carried on. However the box was not checked, the fields were greyed out and so the Pi was not on the wireless network. Second attempt writing the image I realised this mistake!

Second issue - launched Moode Audio > Configure > Audio > Audio Output > Output device select option could not see any 3.5 Headphone jack option - no audio

duckduckgo helped me to find this Using 3.5mm audio jack thread on the forum where it explains, for recent releases (I used 9.0.6), to goto System > Startup options > Integrated audio and select 'Firmware mode (Legacy)' after which the 'Pi Headphone jack' option is presented in the Audio Output device options .. et voila!

Thanks

That's awesome, I'm just getting started myself and I am sure I'll run into issues also. I'm gonna be using the DAC in my B&K Ref 30 so talk about "legacy"...I'll keep this in mind if I have any problems setting mine up. Thanks.
