Hi all,

Just to introduce myself.

I'm using mo0de for a while now and am experimenting with different kind of configurations, to find out wich are the best for my personal needs.
I'm very picky about the quality of the sound, so the minimalistic OS setup of mo0de is just what I needed.

At the moment I'm experimenting with 3 different kind of Raspberry Pi's, 2x 3B+ and a 4B+ 4GB.
Also a dedicated windows 10 uPC all passive
Dac's I'm using are Soekris Dam 1021 R2R DAC (Amanero Combi384 USB), Schiit Bifrost (USB), HiFiBerry and the Pi-Digi+ (COAX)
Until now the best config is the Soekris combined with the dedicate windows PC with Foobar (bit-perfect configged)
Though the Pi 4b+ and the Soekris is very near about the sound quality.

My goal is to achieve that de mo0de wil sound as good or even better then de windows combi.

It's a long time project, and every now and then, I change the configs, for what suits me wel.

It's importand everything can be passive cooled, so there are no external sound influences.

About linux, it's not my speciality, though I'm a little bit familiar with it.

Further I have experimented with Volumio (didn't like it at all) and stil have a Runeaudio on a Pi working for the attick.

And last, I'm normaly not an real active member, so wil be not posting a lot, but reading many  Big Grin

(As you can see/read, English is not my native language  Confused)

Welcome,

Don't worry, your English is good enough, and a lot better than my Dutch Smile
