This includes an updated Spotify Connect metadata screen and an option in Peripheral Config to specify and configure for Pi Touch 2 display.

The new Spotify Connect metadata screen works fine for me as well - both in portrait and landscape mode. Thanks again for implementing this cool new feature!

There's just one little detail I personally do not like so much about the current landscape design: The metadata overlay is always hiding the lower part of the cover image. I would have preferred to see a (slightly smaller) full image instead. Especially if the lower part of the cover image contains text (e.g. album or artist name), the current layout might not be ideal.

A nice alternative could be something like the "wide" coverview layout of the standard MPD playback, i.e. putting the full image on the left hand side and the metadata on the right hand side (which typically leaves enough space to show both large enough to be readable even on smaller displays).

Glad its working :-) The librespot crew really did a fantastic job with their new release.

Its a simple fix for the cover art.
   

Doing a wide mode layout and having that as a Prefs option is a lot more complex. Its a good project for an interested dev.

I may have missed it, but does issue 9.1.5 fix the problem with Rpi 3B+ and the “official” RPi 7” Touch Screen?

As documented elsewhere, 9.1.4 broke this particular h/w config. I reverted to 9.1.3, which runs OK.

Are you referring to the "missing knob sliders and other artifacts" issue for < pi4?

Here's latest WIP release notes

- Added Pi Touch 2 support for all orientations (0, 90, 180, 270) and corresponding touch angles.
- I'm not seeing the "missing knob sliders" issue on < pi4 which may be due to a PiOS firmware update in the r915 build.

Yes, I think so. there's certainly something odd going on on the RH side of the screen, but also it just freezes. I thought I'd posted a picture in another thread.

Edit found it. It's in the thread entitled "3B+ and 7" touch screen, with MoOde 9.1.4". Currently on page 3.
