Hello
As a new user to Moode I have been confused by the option to restart MPD after disconnecting to BT.
The story is in this thread
[PROBLEM] 9.0.6 MPD does not restart after BT disconnected
The problem as such is SOLVED, but the experience prompts this Feature Request
Can the BT output be automatically reset to Local Audio from BT Speaker, on disconnecting BT? At present it appears this needs to be done manually. This requirement is not obvious from the (i) prompts on screen.
Tks

Thanks for the swift reply - yes that’s exactly what I mean.
Your suggested method also requires an interaction, so for instance it’s not possible simply to disconnect earphones and have speakers connect. Or vice-versa.
This is how it works on my iPhone so I guess it’s what I expected!
But no biggie.
And thanks for the App!
Best

For sure it would be convenient. I'll add to the TODO list to investigate.

I can imagine at least three different cases
1. moOde auto-switches between BT device and on-board or USB DAC, depending on whether the BT device is available. This is the case expressed by the OP.
2. moOde "permanently" drives a Bluetooth speaker or other BT device. In this case, I'd want moOde not to auto-change configuration to a different output if/when that BT device disappears because I happened to power them off in the wrong order, say, or carry the BT device out of range. [Not a hypothetical case for me; one of my systems drives a Sonos Move speaker on our sunroom. Similarly, it's possible to walk out of range wearing BT earphones. Don't ask me how I know.]
3. moOde auto-switches between Bluetooth devices depending on which one is available. This case addresses the use of a BT speaker and BT earphones, say. or several sets of BT earphones in a multi-occupant household. Not sure how best to handle multiple devices being detected.
Just my 2-cents worth.

Kent

Just installed v 9.0.7 and now the DAC reconnects after BT device is disconnected. Thanks.
It is still the case that when streaming from the Moode player to headphones 'BT speaker' has to be selected on connecting the heaphones - is this because the BT connection is potentially two way - ie the user could want to use the Moode player as the recieving device and stream through the 'normal' audio output?

The main reason for not doing an automatic switch from Bluetooth speaker back to Local is that a common usage scenario is to always play to the Bluetooth speaker.
