DIY DAC I2S rpi4
#1
Hi,
I'm new to moode audio and rpi as a device for my audio system.
I have an rpi4 with an allo KALI reclocker (and later on an allo isolator) and want to drive my DIY AK4497 DAC direct with I2S.
Source are pre-convolved WAV files in 176.4 and 192kHz in 32bit on my NAS.

What is in terms of sound quality the best setup of moode for this?
Which I2S audio device can/should I choose to have it working and (even better) getting full 32bit output over I2S?
I also see in the audio info that my WAV files are decoded to 24bit PCM, why not decoded to 32 bit? Is this not the internal audio format?

Hope I can get help here, my KALI comes in 1-2 days, so it would be great I can hear something these days   Cool

Thanks and best regards,
Erich

In the MoOde Audio configuration tab, Devices, Driver options....does it show option settings for Kali enabled as MCLK ?

If anyone else is having the same problem, I found why:
if the volume is turned to 0 then the LED is toggling between lock and empty on the allo Kali.
Inserted also the allo isolator v1, music still singing :-)
