I might try re-ripping the CD and replace the files on the NAS with new copies. I will backup the original files just in case somebody asks me to take a look at them for any reason.

Too soon to re-rip. Folks have also seen issues with, for example, OS X resource forks or with Synology's Media service (whatever it's called).

A full directory listing of one of your problem albums could be useful. From the command line, navigate to the directory for Fleetwood Mac's Greatest Hits, say, and execute the Linux command "ls -la" and show us what it says.

As well, it would be useful to see the output from mediainfo for one of the tracks that's repeatedly indexed. We've learned mediainfo isn't a perfect tool for examining metadata but it's a great start.
