I have never seen this behavior with my iPad or iPhone connecting to moOde's Airplay renderer and still don't with current moOde 8.3.7.
Not much pops up when I search the InterWeb on terms like "airplay code" and what I find seems always to refer to Airplay connections being made to smart TVs.
One vague response I found did tweak my curiosity about the OPs networking environment.
Is the RPi3B connected to the OPs "internal LAN" via Ethernet or using an external WiFi transceiver? What is the IP address of the RPi3B when connected? Best would be to post the System information as often asked for in other support threads.
The iPhone doesn't have an onboard Ethernet transceiver. Is it connected to the OPs LAN via WiFi or something else (such as a USB-Ethernet adapter)? What is the iPhone's IP address when connected?
While we're at it, what is the make and model of the router/AP on that internal LAN to which these connections are being made?
Regards,
Kent
