[IDEA] Track Replay Gain for Playlists?

Not sure if this is possible, but could it be made so that the auto setting for replay gain applies track replay gain to playlists?

There is a global replay gain that can be configured via mpd.

A playlist is essentially the same as random play so I was hoping that somehow MPD could recognise a playlist as 'random' so that the auto replaygain setting function would use track replay gain in the same way as it does when enabling actual random play. 
I'm not sure if the thread you pointed me to will achieve that, I didn't really understand the outcome of that thread.
