I have moode setup on a pi4. NFS library mounted. Play through the GUI just fine.
I need to allow moode to be seen by a Cambridge Audio CXN player and the CXN supports DLNA Ver 1.5.
Now the problems start.
Under system/file share you can have DLNA active: DONE.
Under renderers you can have UPnP Client for MPD active ( including Quobuz account ): DONE.
So on the CXN I can sometimes see both, or just UpnP. I loose connection all the time.
Questions:
1. What is UPnP Client actually used for?
2. What is the system/file share DLNA actually for?
Thanks.
So my answers make sense, in the UPnP/DLNA framework there are three components:
Control Point - App that presents content from Media Server and plays to Media Renderer
Media Renderer - Connected to playback device
Media Server - Provides index of locally stored music files
1. What is UPnP Client actually used for?
It functions as a Media Renderer.
2. What is the system/file share DLNA actually for?
It functions as a Media Server.
In your setup which device, Cambridge or moode is going to be used for playback i.e., function as the Media Renderer?
