Checked that Tidal account is also still a Tidal HIFI account.
With Tidal HiFi you get streaming in CD quality (16 bit / 44 Khz) + MQA for the so called "Masters Album".
Flac "lossless" simply means "not lossy" which is indeed what you are getting: compressed files (in FLAC format, you can think of "flac" as the "zip" of audio files) which are not lossy, so that when you "uncompress" them you recover exactly the original file, typically a 16/44 "CD quality" file.

So what is confusing is they have as streaming options, normal, high, hi-fi, masters. I had assumed normal = 320kbps, high = cd, hifi = 24-bit/96kHz, and masters = MQA
When in fact it is normal = 96kbps, high = 320kbps, hifi = 44.1khz/16-bit, and masters = MQA 24-bit/96kHz
