SSH login to moode

@manolomalele

moOde publishes its music directories as SMB/CIFS shares. In Windows you can go to the Network Neighborhood or whatever it's called these days, open the share you want (username/password: pi/moodeaudio), and do your file operations through it.

Got it, and now works, Thank you!

The problem now is another one... The ssh connection via putty is not stable, it falls very often due to "software".
Any idea to fix it? I cannot une the terminal smoothly because lags and disconnects.

Sounds very much like an issue with your network.

Just right now: PuTTY Fatal Error

Network error: Software caused connection abort.

Same machine, same net, same everything, with a different sd (volumio), no network reset, no lags...

I know the error very well as I use PuTTY most days, the error (attached) occurs when a running SSH session times out i.e. loses connectivity, it's a network issue.
If the SSH daemon on the Pi was disconnecting you PuTTY would show a different error, "Server unexpectedly closed network connection". You have network connectivity issues, is this over Wi-Fi perhaps?

Hi, vinnn
The pi is actually connected via LAN.
It's clearly a network issue, but I don't know how to solve it. Any idea?
The sistem itself lags and via web interface is very frustrating sometimes change setup or add simply a song to the queue list...

The strangest thing is that with the same sistem and volumio everything is really reactive and fast...
how did you solve it?

If by LAN you mean Ethernet fine but what are you connecting from?

Try to find out and, possibly, fix the problem by doing some changes involving these steps:

- Move your RPi close to the Ethernat source (Vodaphone device... can you elaborate, is it an ADSL/cable router?) and connect the RPi to the device with a short LAN cable
- Load MoOde on a different uSD card (if possible, a new one), configure MoOde according to the set-up guide and DO NOT do any other changes
- As a music source try FIRST listening to radio stations and music stored on a USB memory stick connected to the RPi (if possible), configure playlists, access via PUTTY, etc.
- If you you are satisfied with result (give it time though) change the music source to your original source and test again

Thank you CallMeMike,

1) It's a modem/router and asap i will try with a shorter cable
2) done several times...
3) when I first install the system I always try with nothing connected and I still have the ssh issue
4) as above...
