Edit: fix is here: https://github.com/librespot-org/librespot/pull/1026
Please verify and I can do a release the coming few days.

Many thanks :-)

After you release it will take our project a few weeks to build, test and publish a new librespot package. Are there recommended workarounds that users can try in the meantime?

I've seen a couple but have not tried them myself.

1. Add --ap-port=[some random port] to librespot launch params.
2. Add 0.0.0.0 apresolve.spotify.com to the file /etc/hosts

Many thanks for this, I can confirm option 2 works (based in the Netherlands).

Hi!
do you plan a Moode update soon regarding that bug before I begin to tweak?

In addition to above question, when an update is rolled out do I then need to remove this addition to the hosts file?

Upcoming moOde 8.2.0 release is scheduled for Q3. There may be a release of librespot 0.4.2 package in the coming weeks but in the meantime try one of the workarounds. They should be removed after updating to new moOde/librespot release.

librespot 0.4.2 was released July 29th and is good to go. It blacklists two known "bad" access points.

The next v0.5.0 will use a newer API that is not susceptible to this access point "misbehaviour" and also does away with the blacklist. It's a pretty hefty release though so will take some more time to get out of the door.

I'm very much looking forward to the new API. I'm following it's progress on your Git, and it looks very smart.

Hi there
I had two problems with spotify connect, with the workarounds mentioned here editing the hosts file, one of the problem is resolved but one is not.
First, I could not hear anything at all when connecting to moode spotify connect.
Second, when i choose my moode raspberry pi device in spotify to connect, IT plays a song, the song stops and starts a few times as if it's buffering, then after a minute it stops working completely and my spotify disconnects from moode, pauses the song and if i hit play again it plays it on my phone.

The first issue is solved with the workaround but the second issue is not and i cannot use spotify connect at all with moode.
Any ideas what i can do to fix this?
Thank you
