I have been running 6.4.0 for a while on an RP2+ without any problems. Audio is output via USB into an Audiolab M-DAC.
I recently purchased an RP4+ which exhibits the popping noise about which others have complained. This new Pi also runs 6.4.0 configured in the same way as the RP2+ and connected to the Audiolab M-DAC in the same way.
As far as I can see, everything is identical apart from the Pi on which moOde is running. Any ideas about why the new set-up causes popping?
Thanks.

Hi all, I had experienced the same problem randomly, more frequently listening to dsd.
The sound seems to have a little delay.
My equip is
Pi 3b+
Moode (latest available official iso)
Usb dac (topping D50)
Playing just flac or MP3 the problem occurres more rarely.
I hope someone has found the solution.
Thanks

The 4b is kind of mess but the audio glitches might be due to the same bug in the Ethernet implementation that is present on the 3B+. There is an option name "Ethernet port fix" in System Config but the code only displays the option for the 3B+ and not the 4B. It's prolly something to consider adding to the TODO list.

Thanks Tim. Looking forward to the fix working with a Pi4.

I'm not sure the workaround for 3B+ will resolve the issues on 4B Ethernet, at least I've not found any posts that indicate that it will work.
If there are such posts I'll be happy to check them out.
