Problem: GUI issues on local 7'' official Rpi touchscreen
#1
Hello,

I report here some GUI problems I meet.

My setup : Rpi 4 + official 7'' touchscreen (square pixels param enabled, see picture), Moodeaudio v8.1.1

[Image: 177277671-ea5854eb-5408-4787-bc5a-677389268d7d.jpg]

Take at look at this screen:
[Image: 177277942-910297b4-d51c-4be1-8725-e52b61cf2558.jpg]
  • Playlist at left side: durations are not well aligned, and songs name are sometimes shortened a lot (only 2 or 3 characters!)
  • Bottom icons in the middle part are very close to screen limit, making them hard to use (and are quite small)

Does anyone have the same bugs?

No I don't.

Specifically, I do not see "Playlist at left side: durations are not well aligned, and songs name are sometimes shortened a lot (only 2 or 3 characters!)". The local screen display looks fine with square pixels enabled.

ETA: all other display-related settings were left at their default values.

RPi3b+, Official 7" LCD, moOde 8.1.1

Regards,
Kent

I think it's caused by setting Prefs Font size to one of the "Large" settings. The Font size option was never fully developed to cover all the UI elements and display layouts.

I can add to the TODO list but it will prolly fall to another dev that wants a nice JS/CSS challenge.
Enjoy the Music!

That's it!
Putting back font size to "normal" gives good rendering.
Now I can tell there are differences between font sizes, hardly visible, but enough to disturb the layout.
