Solved: UPnP not working on WiFi
#1
Hi everybody.

I have Moode 4.1 installed on my raspberry which is connected both through ethernet and WiFi.

On Ethernet it is seen at IP 192.168.1.15
On WiFi it is at IP 192.168.0.100

The reason I have this odd situation is that I'm changing my main provider, which is the WAN where my wired local network is attached (192.168.1.x).
So, at the moment, waiting for my new contract to be activated by the new provider, my 192.168.1.x network does NOT have internet access.

To access internet in the meantime I have a new WiFi 3G/4G Router as my temporary internet access (192.168.0.x)

If I connect via ssh on the 192.168.1.x network,  upexplorer returns the following:

Code:
$ upexplorer -l -1 -u
UPnP devices:
           MoodeUPNP41rm   (urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:MediaRenderer:1) http://192.168.1.15:49152/
MoodeUPNP41rm-mediaserver     (urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:MediaServer:1) http://192.168.1.15:49153/
Samsung C460 Series (192.168.1.7)         (urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:Printer:1) http://192.168.1.7
Initial delay done. 3 devices

If I unplug the wired connection (192.168.1.x) upexplorer returns the following:

Code:
UPnP devices:
     WANConnectionDevice (urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:WANConnectionDevice:1) http://192.168.0.1:35551/
Initial delay done. 1 devices

In conclusion, the Moode UPnP renderer/server are seen only through the wired connection....

Any suggestion on what I could check?

Thanks
Franz

Oh oh... sorry.... I found the solution myself..aplogies...
1) I unplugged the wired connection
2) I rebooted the raspberry

Now UPnP works on WiFi...

Code:
pi@moode41rm:~ $ upexplorer -l -1 -u
UPnP devices:
           MoodeUPNP41rm   (urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:MediaRenderer:1) http://192.168.0.100:49152/
MoodeUPNP41rm-mediaserver     (urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:MediaServer:1) http://192.168.0.100:49153/
     WANConnectionDevice (urn:schemas-upnp-org:device:WANConnectionDevice:1) http://192.168.0.1:35551/
Initial delay done. 3 devices
