Problem: Popping sound during playback
#71
The issue is related to the same bus shared by USB and eth0 on the pi.
I've tried to disable permanently the eth0 and the onboard wifi using an USB wifi stick.
No results.
There are 2 more options:
- buy a hat with USB, hoping that this way the bus won't be shared
- buy a pi4 that is known for not having the bus shared.

Do you think the first option is a good one?

1. @leicray is using a RPi4
2. On RPi4 the USB host controller is connected directly to the SoC via a PCIe bus, while the Ethernet Controller is built directly into the SoC (unlike all the previous RPi models)

So you agree with me saying that with the pi4 the noises due to the same bus shared on the 3 should be avoided?

What is really unclear to me is why on the same machine volumio has very few clics, the same as gentooplayer, while in moode (which I like more) they are very consistant even enabling the uac2 fix and the eth fix.
