Output to USB
#1
Hi,

2. AUDIO DEVICE SETUP

   - USB DEVICE

a) Menu, Configure, Audio

   b) Select "None" for I2S audio device then SET

   c) Reboot

   d) Menu, Configure, Audio

   e) EDIT MPD config

   f) Leave Volume control set to "Software"

   g) Set Device type to "USB audio device"

   h) SAVE

   i) Reboot

Does this mean Moode will play songs and output to the USB port?
So I can connect any USB DAC, ex. Topping D50?

Do you connect to external DAC before powering up the Pi or
while it is up and Moode is running?
Thanks

Hi,

Yes, moOde configured in this way will play through a connected USB/Audio device.

On one of my players, I regularly use a Khadas Tone Board which, I believe, is essentially similar to
one of the Topping models. It is powered via its USB interconnect and I leave it connected all the time.

Kent
