Disable spotify volume control
#1
Hi,

Is it possible  to disable spotify volume control?
I’m using a HifiBerry Digi+ hat, connected with toslink to my stereo amp.
I need a fixed 100% volume out, and control volume only with my amplifier.

I disabled software mixer in MPD settings, but don't  seems to work with the spotify renderer.
I still can control software volume using spotify client on my smartphone.

Thanks

Menu, Configure, Audio
EDIT Spotify config
Initial volume [ ]%

This sets the volume on the client (phone, etc)

I set i initial volume to 100%, but it doesn't  forbid to change the value with the cliens

Thats because it's the client that controls volume for the renderers including Bluetooth, Airplay and Spotify.

Ok thanks.
I’m coming from volumio, and the volume control was disabled even with spotify.
Whatever, I’ll teach my wife and children to let the 100% volume on clients, and only use the amp remote.
