Stream stop
#1
Hi there.

I am using moodeaudio for few years. Few moths ago start to use stream my music via http straming option to my workplace.
And everyting is ok, but now have a problem with that.
When i start playing, and start streaming via browser stream stopped after every 1 track, but sometimes not.
When restart streaming site stream start again.
Anyone have same issue? anyone know how to solved this problem?

I think this is due to the format of the new track being different from the one just over.

I cannot remember what the fix was like... maybe hand-modifying a configuration file? Some more diligent guy will come over and tell, I'm sure.

If it is a difference in format (i.e bit depth or sampling rate), then using SOX to resample everything to one depth/rate should fix it.

I think it was something related to the bit-depth; although I don't remember the fix involving SOX (that is the obvious choice).
Rather it was a setting, limiting everything to 16/44.1, but for the http streamer only.

I searched the forum (1st time, urah!!!) and came across this:

https://moodeaudio.org/forum/showthread....+STREAMING

Basically, if you have the http streamer set to broadcast in mp3 (that is, using Lame encoder) and you stream anything that is not 16/44.1 the stream stops.
The solution is either you chose to stream FLAC (I think that did not show any problem) or, tell the http streamer to resample everything to 16/44.1 (in the config... read through the thread and it will be clear).

Actually, there is a post of mine there too; probably that's why I remember... :-)

That change was implemented almost a year ago in moOde 8.2.5

- UPD: Add format 44100:16:2 to HTTP server lame encoding

Hi Tim,

yes, was introduced at the end of January this year... how comes that the OP is still able to experience the stream stopping?

Oh, I see...

@kuduacz, what version of moOde are you currently running?
