Problem: NFS Not Mounting
#1
Hi there,

All of a sudden a few weeks back, Moode 7.1 stopped working for me. I could remote in or use the local touchscreen. No sound will play.

Finally,. I just had some time to investigate. I got one error for the ALSA volume set to 0. I changed that and ran moodeutl -l again.

I can see the library but there is a mounting lissue? My library name is valid and I updated the library. I literally have a 6" USB 3.0 from my drive to the Pi and a 3' USB running from the Pi to my Topping D50S.

Help?!

Not sure what you are trying to achieve as you say that the Drive and DAC are both connected to your Pi by USB cables

Do you have a NAS as well as the cabled USB drive ?

No.

I have a 4TB USB 3.1 drive as my music source. I have my Topping D50S as my USB audio device from the Pi connected to my stereo.

I think @DRONE7 and I were thrown off by the title of your thread which suggests you are trying to use an NFS server as a music source. It seems that isn't so.

However, now that I look through your posted output I see the anomalous message

Code:
20210417 103232 sourceMount(): Mount error: (mount.nfs: Failed to resolve server media: Name or service not known)

I don't know why this error would occur unless an NFS source has been enabled in the m>Configure>Library>Music Source panel so that moOde knows to tell Raspberry Pi OS to attempt an nfs mount. The initial portion of your posted output appears to be a screenscrape of this panel and didn't show us any data.

Regards,
Kent

My thoughts were the same... title and error seem to point to network file system yet the drive is locally attached.

Perhaps the o/p has activated the NFS source in error and if the setting was removed then MoOde would see only the USB drive as per normal.
(Would also explain why it "All of a sudden a few weeks back, Moode 7.1 stopped working for me." )

I use NFS for my media too. No issues with 7.0. Also no problems with 7.1. Works like a charm.
Your error (Failed to resolve server media) seems like you entered a NFS server details wrong (if you have a server name try to put IP instead).
